Autismo en la educación superior: una realidad global- contemporánea

Resumen

Analizar la situación mundial del autismo en la educación superior mediante estudio bibliométrico, con el fin de identificar tendencias de investigación, fortalezas y principales barreras documentadas en la literatura científica. El estudio bibliométrico de carácter descriptivo y cuantitativo orientado a examinar distribución, estructura y características de la producción académica sobre autismo en el contexto universitario. El corpus analizado estuvo compuesto por 34 documentos publicados entre 2006 y 2026 en 27 fuentes académicas, recuperados de bases de datos especializadas. El análisis se realizó mediante el paquete Bibliometrix del entorno R, permitiendo calcular indicadores de producción científica, colaboración entre autores, citación y distribución geográfica de la investigación. Los resultados evidencian crecimiento tardío pero acelerado de producción científica. Entre 2006 y 2022 se registraron únicamente cuatro publicaciones; a partir de 2023 se observa incremento significativo, concentrándose el 76.5% de los documentos entre 2024 y 2025. El corpus reúne contribuciones de 117 autores, con promedio de 3.47 coautores por documento, lo que refleja tendencia hacia la investigación colaborativa. No obstante, se identificó una tasa de colaboración internacional del 0%, lo que evidencia limitada articulación global. Se demuestra que las principales barreras identificadas en la literatura son de carácter institucional, pedagógico, evaluativo y social.  aunque el interés científico sobre el autismo en la educación superior ha crecido significativamente en los últimos años, persisten vacíos importantes en términos de cooperación internacional, desarrollo de enfoques metodológicos cuantitativos y generación de políticas universitarias inclusivas que garanticen permanencia y éxito académico del estudiantado con Trastorno del Espectro Autista.
