La huerta escolar como mediación didáctica para el desarrollo del pensamiento aleatorio en educación primaria

Resumen
Este artículo de revisión permite abordar la articulación entre el desarrollo del pensamiento aleatorio en educación primaria y el potencial didáctico de la huerta escolar como entorno de aprendizaje situado; el objetivo fue analizar los fundamentos teóricos y empíricos que sustentan esta integración, identificando convergencias, vacíos y oportunidades en la literatura reciente. Metodológicamente, se realizó una revisión sistemática orientada por criterios tipo PRISMA, consultando bases académicas internacionales y priorizando estudios publicados entre 2021 y 2025, sin excluir referentes importantes. Se seleccionaron investigaciones centradas en didáctica de la probabilidad y estadística escolar, estrategias pedagógicas basadas en evidencia y también experiencias educativas con huertos escolares, Los resultados evidencian, por un lado, consenso internacional sobre la necesidad de progresiones conceptuales explícitas y tareas contextualizadas para fortalecer la comprensión de la incertidumbre y la variabilidad (Alsina, 2022; Batanero et al., 2019). Adicionalmente muestran que el aprendizaje basado en huertos mejora compromiso, motivación e integración curricular (Williams & Dixon, 2019; Ohly et al., 2020), aunque su vinculación directa con el pensamiento probabilístico aún es limitada, asimismo, se destaca que la mediación docente estructurada y la retroalimentación constante son determinantes en el impacto formativo (Hattie, 2023). Se concluye que la huerta escolar se constituye como laboratorio auténtico para el razonamiento probabilístico cuando se integra intencionalmente al currículo mediante secuencias didácticas planificadas. Esta articulación amplía la comprensión del aprendizaje matemático como experiencia contextualizada y ofrece una línea investigativa pertinente para fortalecer la alfabetización estadística en primaria
