Influence of TIC and social networks in education: a look at the public policies that promote them

Abstract
Information and communication technologies and social networks have substantially transformed the different areas of today's society, such as the family, economic, political, commercial, etc. Of course, the educational field is no exception; these two aspects are increasing their interference in school processes, from curricular documents to concrete classroom practice. The objective of this academic work is to analyze the relationship between ICT and social networks with the school, as well as to review the public policies that protect, support and promote this relationship, for which it is proposed to review some references that contribute to the influence, advantages and disadvantages of the use of both information and communication technologies and social networks in the educational plans of the different educational institutions in the country. Finally, the discussion method and some conclusions resulting from the analysis of the information gathered will be presented.
