Challenges and progress of accessible tourism in Panama and Costa Rica a comparative analysis

Abstract
This article examines the status of accessible tourism in Costa Rica and Panama, as well as the actions implemented in response to the growing demand from people with disabilities and the recognition of their right to enjoy tourism activities. The current legislative framework is analyzed, and significant progress is evident in Costa Rica regarding tourism accessibility. In contrast, Panama is not yet prepared to adequately respond to this emerging type of tourism.
