Evaluación del teñido de la fibra de palma (Brahea dulcis) con colorantes básicos y dispersos

Resumen

El presente estudio evalúa el teñido de la fibra de palma (Brahea dulcis), ampliamente utilizada en la región Mixteca de Oaxaca para la elaboración artesanal de sombreros y otros enseres, mediante la aplicación de colorantes básicos y dispersos. Se realizó una clasificación de la fibra con base en su coloración natural y se aplicaron tratamientos previos para mejorar la penetración del tinte. Posteriormente, se llevaron a cabo procesos de teñido y ensayos de solidez al frote, sudor y planchado bajo normas ISO. Los resultados mostraron que los colorantes dispersos proporcionaron tonos más intensos y mejor resistencia en comparación con los básicos, aunque en ambos casos la solidez a la luz resultó moderada. Se concluye que la incorporación de técnicas modernas de tintura en fibras tradicionales permite ampliar la gama cromática y mejorar la calidad de los productos artesanales, generando un potencial de valorización cultural y comercial.
