Challenges for Curricular Design in Pandemic Times
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to carry out a documentary review that analyzes the challenges faced by education at the global level, in the United States and in Latin America with respect to curriculum design and learning by competencies in times of the Covid-19 pandemic. The need for both teachers and students to receive quality training regarding the scope and use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is exposed, thus enriching the teaching-learning processes. The methodology used was the documentary review of research carried out between 2015 and 2021, which allowed an updated analysis of the topics covered. On the other hand, the advances in the use of technology and the changes that are taking place in the virtual era entail a reflective analysis, which presents practical results to be applied in the contemporary classroom through integrative, emergent strategies. As a conclusion, the improvement, economic investment, time and continuous updating of education at the global level, in the United States and in Latin America, results in tangible benefits for societies in constant change and accelerated evolution in this globalized world.
